It even contains a "Sneaky preview" footage of gorgeous, divine covergirl Bridgett Ann!!
With almost 90 minutes this movie is about 30 minutes longer as the average HB-videos - and still the time we get with those amazing models is way too short; many girls don't even have a private vignette - pity!
Strange: though the version from 2005 was edited and does not contain Bridgett Ann's Sneaky preview it is almost as long as this one - I will have to analyze them closely.

Hi, another hotbody fan too - been following them since the heady days of the internet in 1995. There demise is not so much due to their quality, but due to the changing business models of the adult industry - the rise of peer to peer webcams have pretty much decimated a large segment of the adult industry focused on producing professional content for solo girls, and that's why you don't see so much professionally produced striptease or lap dance videos any more. Real shame as the late 90s and early 2000s were the most fun time in my memory, in terms of the abundance of strip shows and other forms of related live entertainment.

I decided to try compare both versions. Oh my... talk about two versions. The 2005 version was pretty much the cable version. As a matter of fact, I can conclude that the re-release versions are all cable versions.

Like George said: The VHS/DVD are more explicit and the cable/re-release versions are more tamer. I randomly saw and compared few of the girls scene to scene. Was difficult if you ask me. If you like longer and full stripteases then the cable version is for you. Sometimes you get extra info like Victoria Gold soaking in a waterfall since the explicit version she is busy revealing her spreads for you or Austin kicking her panties away not found in the explicit. I actually chuckled on that last one.

In the explicit version, the girls waste no time getting naked, though sometimes you can find revealing stripteases not found or edited from the cable version. Or even extra info like April Ariksen swimming and wetting her hair. I guess that is too much for the cut version. Not to mention some of the contestants putting on their underwear in the beginning but somehow they can't show that on the cable version as well. Just weird in what could be shown or not on PPV during those days. Some girls had scenes longer than the other versions or vice versa, but usually it was the cable version that won this bout.

Sana Fey really benefits in this version over the cut. HB really took advantage of her pornstar status then. The cable version is zoomed in and slow-mo'ed on her heavily. Her scene suffered greatly in the cable version. She probably had the most explicit scenes in this copy. But once again, the dancing and teases are longer in the cable version. HB also took advantage of Serenity's scenes as well, another former Pornstar. Also, different camera angles are introduced in both versions. The cable version usually shot a side angle to block you from seeing the revealing spread. But overall, the camera angle and shots was done better in the explicit versions. If you look at Martina DBala's scene, there is a spectator view for the explicit version. The cable version just focuses on the girl close up for the most part. It's just a nice additional touch for the explicit version I feel.

Lots to say but just wanted to give people a feel on what both versions were like. That is what I noticed on some of the random girls I viewed. Nice to have both versions. The cable version was longer simply to compensate for the lost sneaky preview and sometimes the missing explicitness. The dvd/vhs version is the one to watch if you were to pick one, but the cable versions I see it as extended/additional scenes. Be nice to see somebody edited all the footage in one. Now I'm interested to see if there are other HB series to compare.

IMO "Hot Body Competition - Summer Wet T-Shirt Finals" also shows the one major disadvantage that HB-movies had at this time:
There are 21 (amazing!!!) girls in this contest; the video has a running-time of approx. 87 minutes; if you subtract the introduction, the end credits, the award ceremony aso, it leaves about 3 (!) minutes per girl on average - dance + private vignette, which simply is way too little.
I believe HB realized it themselves; later HB-contest-videos had significantly less contestants and every girl got her private vignette (the winner often got 2).
But BRIDGETT ANN's scenes make this one a real keeper, Hot Body couldn't have found a more appropriate covergirl, she has one of the hottest bodys I have ever seen.
Does anyone know if she has appeared in any other movies - apart from the HB-series I mean?

I just wanted to add that I had to go a quick spree to find which were the cut versions circulating the internet. Wow, whole new world. Shortest Sorority Skirt contest was first on this list because it was the first HB file I ever found online. Voila, it is cut because it was recorded on PPV. Though there maybe a 2nd version circulating around but I didn't try too hard here. There are two versions of the Lusty Latinas circulating the web though I only found the explicit one low quality on spankbang. Malibu Miniskirt finals is a cut one as well, the 2005 version. Like I said previously, its most likely the repackaged 96-2000 re-released on a later date versions sans Shortest Sorority skirt contest that are like this, though I may be wrong.
